A 30-year-old man, Daniel Chigozie, has been detained by Amotekun Corps brokers for reportedly promoting his nine-month-old son to a few patrons.
Commandant of the Corps in Ogun State, David Akinremi, stated the company acquired info that the daddy had serially bought his son, Daniel Chinonye Darlington.
He claimed Chigozie bought the kid to a few separate patrons within the Lagos areas of Sango, Meiran, and Apapa.
From August 2022 and February 2023, the suspect, a resident of Abela in Sango Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Native Authorities Space of Ogun State, obtained N150,000, N400,000, and N700,000 from nameless shoppers.
In response to Akinremi, the corps’ probe confirmed that the person, who’s suspected of working with a legal gang, developed a way for retrieving the son from every of the patrons after every sale till he bought him to the ultimate purchaser, one Dr. Nosa in Apapa.
Chigozie confessed to committing the offense in his confessional assertion.
The Nationwide Company for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Individuals (NAPTIP) has recognized him for a follow-up inquiry to retrieve the child and prosecute him.
