The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee, EFCC, has launched an inquiry into Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin also referred to as Simisola Gold, an actress, and cosmetologist, for allegedly tampering with the redesigned Naira notes, a violation of Part 21 (5) of the Central Financial institution of Nigeria Act, 2007.

Based on a press release printed by the company on Friday, February 3, Omoseyin was detained on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, alongside Awolowo Highway, Ikoyi, Lagos, by operatives of the Impartial Corrupt Practices and Different Fraud Associated Offences Fee, ICPC, after an intelligence report.
